Project: NCB, Anti-Bullying Alliance
About
Founded by the NCB and NSPCC, the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) is a network of charities and organisations with the aim of reducing bullying and creating safer environments in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn.
Brief
The ABA required a new website with a way of presenting a series of dialogues about bullying. These dialogues, previously commissioned by the ABA, presented different true-to-life scenarios of child bullying.
Solution
A virtual town (Hometown) was built in Flash; users can select different areas of the town and zoom in to observe the bullying-related dialogues in situ. A website managed by Contribute was also created for users to access the other resources of the ABA organisations.
The ABA site was website of the month in PSHE & Citizenship Update for July/August 2005. It was restructured to conform to the NCB content management system in 2006.
