About
The Childhood Bereavement Network is a national, multi-professional federation of organisations and individuals working with bereaved children and young people. It involves and is actively supported by all the major bereavement care providers in the UK.
Brief
A branding and interface design was required to communicate the following key points:
- bereavement as a normal part of life
- to involve the whole family in support for a bereaved child
- grief as a journey
The identity therefore needed to be both, professional and friendly and emphasise how they operate as part of a larger network.
Solution
A logo was designed using the form of a forget-me-not flower synonymous with bereavement, drawn in perspective to show a person enveloped by others. A global website structure was created, with the addition of 'landing pages' and a geographical directory. The landing pages act as homepages for specific sectors, they direct a visitor to the relevant information and resources available to them. The geographical directory provides specific content for requested local centres, facilities, resources and contacts.
